I guess so, this is my first polaris product.

 

What type of riding were you doing that resulted in taking on water behind front left wheel ? Are you talking deep water crossings I assume ?

 

I was riding on fire road in the rain, ive done plenty of water crossings up to the top of my wheels with no issues. It was clear water this time and i had to frequently stop oppen the drain plug wait a few mins for it to drain and dry then continue.

Like FPD pointed out, it could be hearsay. I’m just forwarding information that was previously posted. But if it were mine, I’d certainly look into trying that part because it was never a problem on original 450/570’s!

They didn’t flip them. Looking at housing from “outside” outlet is on front and the shorter part, while the inlet is near the rear and is the longer part. My 2017 is orientated the same as a 2021.

thats the digram for the 21. they call the tube thing that comes up by the rear wheel an outlet on the 21 and an inlet on the 17

maybe the diagram is just flipped but that also doesnt make sense....i cant picture it lol

edit: it does look like there is a new part number associated with the inner clutch cover seal...this may be a fix for that troublesome area?

 

This is the 2021 570 EFI. You gotta wonder if the parts are interchangeable.

 

the efi "base" model did not get the new housing etc etc that the eps models did.
it is showing different clutches for the efi vs the eps models as well...at least for the primaries and thats as far as i got

 

Ray do you think the older style inlet would work in place of newer outlet? Thank God I have a 2017!

 

Yes it will. I have the older inlet to go on eventually. There are a couple guys who have done it on Facebook. You need the inlet and the boot from the 2017 style. Right now I’ve just spin the exhaust 180 degrees and it sits up by the seat now.

 

with all this discussion, I would’ve had it fixed with some tubing run higher up by now LOL.
Luckily my beast doesn’t have this issue.

but my best friend, and fellow retired Master Chief, has a 21 570. First thing I noticed on it.

 

Have you ridden in snow? This is constantly a problem. I’ve been stuck too many times because of snow entering the housing and causing the belt to slip. Poor design, period.
