I have a 2005 Polaris Predator 500 and I'm assembling the top-end and just noticed that I'm missing one of the guides that goes on top of the bearing on the camshaft that sits between the camshaft bearing and a camshaft cover. Does anyone know what this part is called or if it can be purchased by itself or if I need it because I cannot find anything relating to anyone else having them. Thank you for any and all help I really appreciate it

You might be having trouble finding them for a 2005 model, because there was no 05 Predator 500 - only 50 and 90's.

That part is not a guide, it's a retainer - part number 3087980 and NLA from Polaris - call powersportsnation 402-371-7002 or check at your local Polaris dealer to see if they got an old head laying around you might scrounge one off of.

I have to correct myself - the part you need was used on the following models and the Predator 500 with that motor was produced 03-07

  • 2003 PREDATOR (A03GJ50AA/AB) - Intake & Exhaust
  • 2004 A04GJ50AA PREDATOR (A04GJ50AA/AB/AC/AD) - Intake & Exhaust
  • 2005 A05GJ50AA PREDATOR 500 (A05GJ50AA/AB/AC) - Intake & Exhaust
  • 2006 OUTLAW 500 (A06GP50AA) - Intake & Exhaust
  • 2006 PREDATOR 500 (A06GJ50AA) - Intake & Exhaust /Ab/Ac
  • 2007 OUTLAW 500 (A07GP50AA/AB) - Intake & Exhaust
  • 2007 PREDATOR 500/LE (A07GJ50AA/AB/AC) - Engine, Intake & Exhaust
