I have a 1999 Magnum 500 4/4 just rebuilt the carb and my issue is when the bike gets hot it won't run. it seems like there is no fuel as it will die and then if you put the choke over to full it will start but will not go anywhere. once the thing cools off it will run fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Or a solution? Thanks

check the needle height

fuel screw
turn it the whole way in then turn it out 1.5 turns.

check fuel shutoff valve may be clogged or in the OFF position.

check fuel filter

check tank for any fuel at all.

whoops my bad sounds like the thing has bad rings. it run while its cool but when it warms up it shits the bed. the cylender is expanding faster then the piston and it looses compression then shuts off.

do a compression test,.

Interesting. My 95 4x4 just started doing the same thing. After about 20 minute of riding it pops, spits, and sputters. I had some dried mud covering parts of the radiator so my boy cleaned it off. Haven't tried yet to see if it's an overheating problem.
