Hey all, going to order an EPI clutch kit for my 05 700 Sportsman and I had some questions. Is it worth it to buy one of EPI's belts or should I stick with another OEM belt? Has anyone had issues with EPI belts (i.e. wear easily, belts snapping, teeth breaking off, exc.) Let me know what you guys think, if they are worth the money or just a load of BS! Thanks fellas....

General opinion is stay with OEM belts. Also most guys are just using a red spring for bigger tires,easier to spend $25.00 than $300-$400.

I bought the EPI severe duty belt when I got my kit and regretted it. Was only a fraction out of specs and made me creep in gear. Took it out and kept it as a trail spare.

Read up on here, you don't really need the whole kit. I swear!

ATV Performance Modificationsthe Sportsman 500 2000, came in with a no running problem, found stator no production of voltage, took cover off and hand start mechanism had fallen apart and was shrouded and broken the plastic and metal in 100 pieces and tore up the stator assembly. CVTECH primary clutches
