i have a 2007 500 sportsman. i was ridding the other day on some trail. nothing to bad. i got back on the road and noticed that the clutch had started slipping. in high gear, it takes off fine but starts slipping around 10 mph, i can let off the throttle a little and it will grab and run fine. i put a new belt on and same thing. the same thing happens while in low. just at a slower speed. please help.

check and make sure your clutch machined surface (where the belt rides) is not groved, if it is take it into the polaris dealer to be machined.other then that take the belt cover off and watch the belt spin while reving it in nutral start the engine rev it up watching the clutches they should open smoothly look for something binding, just keep your head away from the belt while you do this.

Thanks. I didn't notice a groove but I will check
again. I pushed on the prim clutch the other day and it moved smooth. I didn't watch it while reving it up a d I didn't check the secondary. Thanks for the reply.
