I have a question about swapping a primary EBS clutch for a non EBS clutch.

2005 sportsman 500 HO EBS to a 2009 Sportsman 500 non EBS clutch.

Can I simply change the belt to a non EBS belt and leave the driven clutch alone, or do I need to change the driven clutch to a non EBS clutch ?

With all the snow this winter I wore out the original EBS primary clutch plowing.

Thanks much in advance, new to forum.

I put the used 2009 clutch on with the new belt ( gates number 20g4022 ) and very difficult to engage into gear.

Belt seems to tight, so put old belt on 3211095 Polaris original and seems to work OK, should I go with another stock belt ?

or is it maybe an alignment problem? work good with old belt.

I did change to a non ebs primary clutch.

Thanks in advance.

Just spoke with Ryan from RVS, Real nice guy and very knowledgeable.

Need to ad a .030 " shim between the sheaves on the secondary clutch for proper belt deflection.

Thanks again Ryan.
