I had to remove my clutch to change my starter on my 2005 sportsman...when the bolt to put the clutch went back in it must have crossed threaded and its tight as hell. But not tight enough to keep the clutch tight on the shaft. Now when I try to remove the bolt the shaft is turning with it but the clutch is slipping.

HOW CAN I KEEP THE SHAFT FROM SPINNING SO I CAN REMOVE THE BOLT?

take the cover on the other side that covers your stator and flywheel and hold the flywheel while turning the bolt( DONT STICK SOMETHING THROUGH THE HOLES ON THE FLYWHEEL TO JAM IT IN PLACE) i did this to remove the flywheel because i had rust and crud behind my flywheel causeing my bike to run poorly and wrecked my stator polaris charges $650 for flywheel, stator, pick up coil combined

Went to my Buddy's mechanic shop and used the pneumatic impact wrench. It did the job. He also tapped my threads and it kooks good. The bolt is shot. Hopefully a new bolt will do the trick

I may have gotten lucky
