Without knowing what year models - I think it's safe to say no - the 400 is probably a 2 stroke and the 500 is probably a 4 stroke - generally the 500 will have a larger diameter crankshaft than the 400 - if you try to put the 500 clutch in the 400, it will probably not tighten on the taper properly if at all.

Tell me what year models and I can give you a list of all the vehicles the OEM clutches were used on - you might get lucky and they will be the same.

What polman did was provide a list of all the models that used the same non EBS clutch as the 400 that you have. What year model 500 clutch are you looking at? The EBS clutch has a one way bearing at the bottom between the sheaves - nos EBS does not have this bearing - if you try turning the sleeve between the sheaves, if it's EBS it will turn freely one direction and lock up the other way - if it's non EBS the sleeve will turn freely both or the belt will have a loose fit - EBS belts have tension all the time.
