Denver? Where's Denver??? LOL I'm sending you a PM with a link to a site that has mostly Colorado members. Ultra may have already done so, but if not, I will get it to you. We post up rides there and they are open for anyone to join in.

Frederick area here. I'd like a link to the Colorado members as well.
My buddies family and my family enjoy hauling our travel trailers and ATVs up for long weekends of camping and riding. Generally we head up to Wyoming to avoid the I70 traffic. Would love to know of any camping/riding areas in Colorado that are traffic friendly to get to. Thx.

We are having a meet & greet in December that is open to all, as well as our annual New Years Day ride.

We are planning a trip from Minnesota to Colorado 2nd week in August 2017 for 6-8 ATVs.

Looking for the best trails in the state. Most I have seen are rocky, which is fine. Not really looking for hardcore rock crawling though. Would prefer a mix rocky, sand, mud, hill climb, with an amazing view!

2 years ago we drove through Ouray on our way to Vegas and loved that area.
That will probably be our end destination as we work our way across the state.
Looking for the best between Denver and Ouray

Some of the trails we're looking at are - devils Punch bowl, Schofield pass, black bear pass, Alpine Loop

Thanks for any help you can offer.

You can hit 3 out of the 5 just about anywhere you unload here in Colorado. However, sand and mud are pretty much non-existent here. The only real sand is up north, in the Walden area. For mud, you will have to head south, into the Texas area. :)
I have not ridden the Ouray area, but I hear there are some good trails in the area. Black Bear Road turns into a one way trail once you pass Bridal Veil Falls and head down the switch backs towards Telluride, so you would need a ride back to the trail head.
The Alpine Loop has the same issue for atv's. There is a section or two where you have to get on the road to complete the loop, and that's illegal in Colorado.
Taylor Park is where I like to spend a week every summer. Cottonwood Pass is going to be closed for the next summer, or possibly two, so over Monarch Pass, into Gunnison, and double back to get into Taylor Park. You can ride for a week there without repeating trails, and never need to trailer anywhere.

I'm in Lakewood, CO now. Formerly from Salida, CO. I've been riding in Southpark (CO) area about 90 mins from where I live now but the best riding I know of is down by Salida. I know the area well including several trail loops from 25 to 70 miles where you come across few if any other riders. Problem is, since I no longer live there the ride usually involves an overnite stay. But that can be fun too. Salida has a lot of great amenities! Let me know if you're up for such.

I'd like to hear about some of your favorite trails near Salida. I mostly ride from Divide to Buena Vista but haven't made it down to Salida area yet.
