Hello fellow Polaris ATVers. I recently picked up a '98 Xplorer 400 and had the misfortune of running my brake reservoir on my handlebars into a tree. It cracked the bottom of the plastic reservoir and the fluid began to leak out. I ordered a replacement reservoir but it won't be here until after the 4th. I'd like to use it this weekend and I'm wondering a couple of things.... 1. Is there a glue or adhesive that I could use to repair the crack? 2. I lost the donut shaped gasket that goes between the reservoir and the handlebars....Can I pick up any rubber gasket for a temp fix?

I live in the Twin Cities and would like to take my daughter up North to Aitkin County for some fun trail riding, before she leaves town. Do you think I stand a chance of patching this thing up for a weekend ride without contaminating the brake fluid?

I think I'm attaching an image of the crack in the reservoir.

Thanks for any input!

I doubt if it comes in contact with any brake fluid that stuff is very strong. Possibly JB Weld that holds up to gasoline and other fluids..
