Need help with removing inner cv joint on 2012 Sportsman 800.
Broke both rear inner CV joints. The shaft and knuckle broke and all that is left is the CV Joint housing. Does anyone know how to remove the cv end from the rearend ?
Normally I would use the shaft to give a few hard jerks and it would come out but the shaft is broken off?
Any advise would help.

Couple options I have tried. First is to wedge a wonder bar and screw driver under one side of the cup, then hit the other side with a hammer. This should loosen up the wonder bar and screw driver. Wedge them under again and hammer again if needed. Make sure you are gentle with the case and seal/bearing area so you don't damage the case there.

Other option is a slide hammer (dent puller). I have vise gripped a dent puller to the cup before and used it to pull the cup out. I have even had to do this after using the wonder bar to get the C clip loose...because the shaft had so much crud around it.

^^^Agreed with Boburk. I have used both of these methods.
