Finally got out to prep some of the feeders at my lease today. Filled my dads, mine, and another hunters. The other guys are coming out in a few weeks and said they would take care of theirs. Don’t think I wanted more than 1800lbs in the bed and cab of my half ton anyway though.

Haven’t had any real rain out hear in probably 60 days or more with more days over 100 than not.

Didn’t stop the deer from coming out this afternoon either way. Feeders have been empty since about January, filled the 3 of them and had deer at mine before I was 20’ away. Nice full moon out though, so no need for the night vision until some bacon wanders out.

Never hunted with a .450 until this year. I still use my Beretta 12 ga. and my daughter had always used her Beretta 20 ga. until she got her .450 for this season. SUPER impressed by the exit hole it produces- it's huge. It's a mean caliber for sure!

Hmm, boring a durn near 1/2” hole through something doesn’t leave living through it as an option. Interesting.

Are these 450 bushmasters in an AR platform we are talking about?

They are available in AR platforms, as well as stand alone rifle models.

Kids are so spoiled today.
I had to use a old Remington model 30 lever action 30/30 rifle that kicked my 12 year old self's butt every time I shot it.

Do you still have this rifle? I didn't know remington made a 30-30, I'd like to see it. I have two Marlin's and a Winchester and I love going to the woods with them.

A model 30 is a bolt rifle though, not a lever rifle.

You never heard of a Marlington a.k.a, Remlin ? lol
Remington bought Marlin in 2007 , I bought a Remington-Marlin in 2014 on a whim , quality was nothing like my other two Marlins made in the 70's . { still have those }

I have a Marlin I purchased new in 1987 that has a birch stock that I gave to my youngest son, and my dads Gold Trigger Marlin manufactured in 1981 with a walnut stock and a bulls eye inlay in the stock, that one will go to my oldest son eventually.

Ok,
I had to reach out and ask a family member what guns we were using @ 13 years of age. I was told they were a Winchester 30-30 and Marlin "AKA Remington" 30-30. They said I have been calling it a Remington for years. My brother said he thinks it is from the brain trauma I had. But who really cares it was a good gun and I got a lot of deer with both. But, thank you. This got me to call and talk with my brother about are childhood. We haven't done that in a long time. I hope this puts your worries about a gun you might not know about to rest. lol

No I don't have it. I haven't seen that gun for 30 years I think.

Merry Christmas to everyone
