I agree with you, Polaris is getting sued for the heat issue.

When I get mine back I'm going to hook a 1200 lb trailer to mine and pull it through sugar sand. Ill bring it in every week until they get tired of fixing it. Adding a new heat shield is NOT a fix IMO.

We need to blame the EPA more than Polaris........

You are very right. They haft make them so lean from factory pass emissions. Can Am is same way have horrible over heating problems. You add fuel to air fuel mixture and fixes your over heating problem

RVS tunes can reduce exhaust temps 100-150 degrees, whether that alone will stop plastics melting I don't know. Up side you get more performance.

^^^. Curious about this statement. Do you have data to prove this?

Yes it will help it some. We can only go so far in the fueling before we go backwards in power. The lower fan temps also help overall running temps too. We are seeing around 100-150 degree difference in exhaust temps through the head pipes and joint area before the muffler.

Thank you,
Ryan

Talking about lower engine temps I would think putting in a lower temp t-stat in would also be a very effective in lower EGT's.
