I understand that fluid capacities were incorrect in the 2002 700 Owners Manual. Latebird sent an updated lube chart for 2002 atv models. My question is on front and rear dif. capacities.Updated chart shows 10 oz. in rear and 5 oz. in front dif.(2002 700 model).Manual states 3/4" fill from bottom of threads on front dif. and 1 5/8" from top of fill plug hole in the rear. I don't see that any damage could be done on rear dif. if filled until it ran out of fill hole. I realize the front Hillard dif. is a different animal and don't want to make a bonehead mistake. I drained out almost 8 oz. out of the front dif., not that it was the correct amount. Can I add one or two ounces to the front Hillard dif. or stick with the 5 oz. fill. Eventually selling this atv to a friend and don"t want to cause Him any issues that could have been avoided. Not really sure how Polaris expects customers to check the 3/4" & 1 5/8" measurements on the dif's. Thanks for any and all recommendations, Dennis.
