Hi guys,

I just purchased a nice '06 Predator 500 from the original owner. It is stock and looks to be in great shape. I would like to do my own oil changes. I am fairly new to Polaris. How is their engine oil? (quality) Should I stick with it or can I change to Amsoil? Any issues to look out for changing over? Also, any specific oil filter better than others?

I use Pure Polaris oil and the pure polaris oil filter. They work great for me! The oil is kind of expensive though, at least in my opinion.

Amsoil 0W-40 Power Sports oil is great. That engine uses a cartridge filter, here's a cross reference list:
