I’ve got a 2008 Polaris sportsman 500 that has excessive inside tire ware I’ve got new tires ordered but I want to figure out the problem before I ruin a new set I’ve been told that it could be worn springs the tires look like they are leaning in way to far at the top I will try to get some photos to better show the problem

It's an off road vehicle - sounds to me like it spends too much time on paved surfaces and the tires are probably over inflated also.

If the wheels lay in a lot then all your suspension parts (bushings, bearings, pivot tubes, etc) are worn out and need replaced. Over inflation, excessive toe out, worn tie rod ends and running a lot of asphalt will all contribute too. I run quite a bit of road out of necessity to get from trail to trail and therefore keep a close check on the above things. I check tire pressure before EVERY ride (5-6 psi), and set toe out very close to almost zero with no more than about 1/4" out.
