I have a 96 Magnum 425. I noticed the other day that I was getting a little melting on the fiberglass on the right side just under the seat where the exhaust pipe goes through to the muffler. I felt under the edge and felt the shielding there. Obviously there's a problem with its credibility. What can I get to give it some more protection? Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the idea but not sure that's it. Had the carb professionally cleaned and adjusted less than a year ago. My thought is that the shielding that's instead of where the back fender sweeps in and goes under my leg has deteriorated. Any idea of what I can replace it with?

Thanks Gale. I'll try that. And 20 is about the tops I ever go. It's a work quad. Hauling firewood, leaves, plowing snow, etc.
