the only thing you can do is keep it out of the sun when your not driving it, if you store in a shed or garage or keep it covered thats all you can do,

I am loking at a used 2006 700 EFI that has already faded. Can anything be done about that? Is the camo just a wrap or something?

its a pattern that is impregnated to the top of the plastic, in other words to my knowledge theres nothing you can do to fix it except new fenders or a vinyl camo kit.

my 06 500EFI is camo. i was told that the fading to purple was fixed when I bought it as a leftover in Feb 07.
Its been garage kept, and my camo has not changed color.

I do have a new in the box rear cab in camo that the dealer gave me to replace mine that has some damage from the exhaust melting the plastic. but the damage was minor and I never changed it out. Pricing replacement plastics will give you sticker shock for sure expecially in camo. I was looking to change the plastics on my XP to camo but changed my mind when I saw the prices. I may go the camo cladd route one day or get them dipped.
