0W40 synthetic is great for the engine, further recommendations I use personally are Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF in the front gearbox, Demand Drive in the ADC (ATF is another choice), currently using AMSOIL gear lube in the rear differential, and 5W/20 Motor Oil in the Tranny.

If you ride hard and in mud and water I would change the front gearbox every 25 hours, engine every 50 and the tranny, diffrential and ADC at 100. If you are a casual easy breezy rider you can go 50 on the front gearbox. The front gearbox (especially in AWD) is working like a dog in hard riding so that is the most vulnerable piece of the drivetrain IMHO.

Lube your zerks every 25-50 hours and take the tires off so you don't pull your hair out doing it. A couple of them are quite challenging and I think mine has 21 zerks..vary a bit from year to year! Working around the tires is just not worth the extra effort, trust me.
