Went riding with my buddy.
his 2020 570. Doesn’t say EPS but is.
my 2018 850 touring. Talk about different machines. Nothing appears the same.

and I need to see if my EPS is working correctly. Moving it is a dream. Sitting still doesn’t move the wheels anywhere near as easily as his does.

Doc we have an '18 570 touring and the EPS is the same as what you describe. Must be something in the tune. When the machine is motionless its as if there is no EPS but once its rolling steering is effortless.

Agreed!!! The 570 has been like that since day one and from day one has concerned me. I mean I was over it pretty quick as the first ride was HMT and the EPS worked flawlessly. Plus it was my first machine with EPS so had nothing to compare it to. Only other time I became concerned was when I bought the canned ham and like your buddies 2020 sitting still it steers effortlessly. So I just chalk it up to it's design parameters. I've had no issues in the 1k miles of use so I'm good with it.
