'95 250 trailboss - pull to start fires for 2 seconds then dies , pull new plug soaking wet , dry out same thing over and over. pulled & rebuilt carb , had high idle lowered that previously, changed out fuel , air filter ... thinking maybe fuel pump and\or choke plunger ? was running great when parked over winter. Anyone with similar issues ?

Mine was doing the same thing. I rebuilt the motor and lower end just for grins and took care of my issues cause the crank seals were bad. Now I have other issues which I believe is my carb needing a good cleaning and a filter replacement. Good luck man hopefully you do not need to rebuild the motor, if you do it is very easy and I had fun with it.

If your plug is getting that wet that fast, your carb probably needs cleaning. Odds are the needle/seat is leaking. Probably fills up the float bowl and lets it run into the cylinder. Along the same line, find the crankcase drain and make sure the crankcase is empty. Seems silly, but if there is any fuel and or oil sitting in the bottom, it won't run.

flooded

The carb was pulled and cleaned twice, did find plenty of gas in bottom of case after noticing it was running out. pulled the recoil and second cover could not see where the fuel was getting in from... thanks for the info everyone any other thoughts on this dilemma ?
