I had an a arm bolt come out and slid my whole lower assembly loose. The only thing left holding was the axle. The inner cv joint was pulled loose I site the boot. The joint was pulled out to a point that it would not go back in. I cut the boot off and have the cage and bearings. My question is, if I don't see any real damage, should I be able to push the joint back together and just replace the boot. From wha I understand there is just a snap ring that I probably pulled out. Has anyone had this happen before?

Kinda just had the same thing on rear when doing bushings. I did not wreck my boot. I cleaned, re greased with CV Axel grease and put it back together. All good.
