If there is already a thread on this please point me that way. I was looking at some fuel controllers to get a little more power out of my scrambler since I have a winch. What are your thoughts on just adding the controller and not an exhaust? I know it is supposed to come with a sport tuned exhaust so I didn't know if the controller would do more harm than good.
Not much to be gained but a tuner alone. Maybe 1-2 Hp at the wheels. The scramblers are pretty rich from the factory so leaning them out a bit helps. But it's nothing you will likely feel. Clutching is your best bang for the buck on the 850s. The 1000 is a different story so far.
Would the clutching just give me more low end torque? I'm not very familiar with clutch kits. The scramblers do take some throttle to get going from the start.
