I dont know whats happening to my polaris hawkeye. My crankcase is gettong gas in it everytime i run it, i think it wpuld possibly have a pcv valve ? Has anyone ever had this prob and how did you fix it?
^^^^^^^What he said^^^^^^^If it is a carb model the needle could be bad or sticking and flooding it.
A carb rebuild is due.
Did you replace the needle and seat or just clean them. But i have rebuilt the carb and it still not fixed the problem
In his original post, he said: "My crankcase is gettong gas in it everytime i run it..."Question 🤔, wouldn’t shutting off the fuel supply and letting the bije run til it stalls ease this issue? It’s how I always do my stuff anyway or is there a bypass also bc ofnthe pump?
Lol that can be interpreted several ways, “when i run it” could mean during, after, I really don’t understand what compels people to be cockt amd arrogant , especially on a keyboard. I came to this sight to seek help on issues with my shit and honestly it’s been nothing but smartass remarks like this that deter me from further dialogue, i am far feom an idiot. I can fix most everything that is combustion or anything else, operate a 35 ton excavator..D-8 D-10 dozer yada yada, im just saying if u shut the supply off after riding it can help eliminate these issues other than the common, venting, bad make of carb, bad seals, pumps etc. keep the bs to a minimum please i show respect and also expect to receive itIn his original post, he said: "My crankcase is gettong gas in it everytime i run it..."
He can't "run it" very far with the fuel supply turned off.![]()
I’ll never understand people that bite the hand that feeds them.Somebody piss in your oatmeal this morning Nitro??
All I did was point out that he said it gets fuel in the crankcase when he RUNS it. He said nothing about getting in it when sitting still or fuel running out the carb overflow. He also said he'd replaced the components inside the carb that usually cause such problems. All we can do remotely is attempt to diagnose based on what the OP tells us he has tried and the results.
I guess he could turn the fuel off and see if it makes a difference but that still don't fix the problem now does it?
I suggested earlier he pull the impulse line off and see if its wet inside. If it is then the pump diaphragm is bad/leaking putting fuel directly into the cylinder. A new pump for that machine is $15 and the problem is FIXED. If not, he needs to look elsewhere.
