I recently took apart and serviced my gear selector body after my 2000 Sportsman HO 500 got stuck in reverse. In the process I determined that the screws that mount into the unit had been stripped and were on with thread lock, making it a little wobbly. Ordered a new one and new guts but it came without threads in the bottom 3 mounting holes and no hardware. Please advise on why the holes aren’t threaded and best solutions for modifying?
