A few weeks ago my Wifes' Hawkeye began blowing fuses when the AWD switch was engaged. As any good tech knows the first step to troubleshooting is to verify that the problem exist. You have to be able to duplicate the problem. The second step is a good visual inspection..put down the DVOM and just look. Down at the front diff there is a pair of wires going into the housing, one of the wires insulation had been cut through by the plate attached by two torx. Direct circuit to ground. One non-insulated butt connector and a section of shrink wrap tubing and no more blown fuses, AWD works. Now I just have to get some split loom cover and no more problem. I hope this helps someone else.
