I have read in several groups that these 570's are put out from Polaris running extremely Lean to deal with emission concerns. They say the lean condition will cause the machine to run much hotter, and intern the exhaust gets hotter. RVS offers a ecu stage 1 program that is supposed to help the issue. Has anyone tried the ecu tune before all the exhaust work?? I'd rather spend the money on a tune, get more hp, a better performing machine, and hopefully some heat help rather than spend money on ceramic coating, and heat shielding/protection. Anyone with input or experience with doing just the tune??

Anyone have any information on this one please

I take it your aware of the Polaris service bulletin that they had to issue due to so many heat p[problems? I just bought a 2016 570 Sportsman and when I contacted Polaris about the heat issue, they said the bulletin is no longer in effect! So I would have to purchase the new part (2207445) for $84.00! Bought it and after installing it I have no more issues with hot air on my right leg! The new 2019 570's have a left side cover plate that will help your left ankle? The part number is 2207446. I just ordered one on Amazon for $74.99. I did add insulation to the bottom of my seat just for good measure! Have fun!

I just bought a used 2014 having same issue seat pegs mealted from exhaust right side gas tank gets very hot almost Scarry
I would call Polaris or chk their website for any updates or recalls!!! Talk to your local dealer as they may have to contact Polaris as to the severity of the heat. Other then that if Polaris doesn't take care of it you will. It's not that big of a deal if you do.

I just bought the kit for my '15 Sportsman 570 and installed the plastic right side shield, but don't know what to do with the rest of the parts in the kit. Does anyone know where the stick-on heat shield(s) or the 2 big rubber washers or the metal bracket (with 2 rivets) go? The instruction card that comes with the kit requires you to go to dealer website so owners installing this kit themselves are left with no guidance. Many thanks to anyone who can help solve this little mystery!

Is this still an issue on the new 2019 model?
No that have a handle on this now. They added and beefed up insulation and shielding. They also added body paneling to eliminate the dreaded right side HOT leg issue.

Hello. I also have a 2016 570 Sportsman. I ordered the 2207445 kit and it came with no installation instructions. Tells you to go on the dealer website to get them. Since I’m not a dealer, I can’t do that. Did your kit come with instructions? Looks like you have to drill a couple holes for the mounting bolts that come with the kit? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thx!!

I have a 2019 570 and I can ride it for a while and let it idle and the right panel hardly gets warm and I even put in the radiator side shields!! People say that makes it hotter but I have not found that to be true on my machine.

Thanks for keeping this pinned. I just got a 2016 570 with only 126 miles on it and was much hotter than my 2001 sportsman 400. Found this thread and while the dealer didn't honor the service bulletin they did order the kit for me and printed off instructions. They also gave military discount so only $57 and my time to install. MUCH improved! Thanks

Hi All,

I have the same issue need to order the right side close off kit.

Can someone kindly confirm what is the correct part number for my 2016 Sportsman 570 (single seater not the Touring)?

Don't want to order the wrong parts.

Thanks in advance!

When I return home from my next deployment the RVS tune is at the top of my list for the very reason you stated. I may go for the stage 2 which is supposed to up the hp by 11 with an aftermarket exhaust on the 570 as well.

My thinking is the engine being a bit richer and breathing a bit easier is how it should be running it's most efficient. This, in theory, should allow it to run cooler and possibly have more longevity with frequent servicing.

The RVS tune also lowers the fan on temp from 200 to 180 which could make a difference with the heat as well.

Hopefully someone who has done their tune can add some first had knowledge.

Would you possibly have access to the instructions for the 2017 touring model close up panel kit part #2207446 ?
Welcome to the forum . It’s been a while since that user posted but maybe someone else may have what you are looking for ...

Sincerely
