I own a 2005 Polaris 400 Sportsman. While riding several weeks ago it bogged down on a trail. I cleaned all fuel lines, fuel tank, and rebuilt the carb with new jets. It still bogged down and died after getting up to 4000 RPM. I bypassed the shut off and pump runnning the fuel line straight to the tank and my issue is solved. Has anybody else had this issue and what was done instead of the bypass? It seems to get poor fuel mileage when its run to the tank.

if bypassing the pump helped then you diaphram in the pump is probably worn and you need to rebuild the fuel pump with a new diaphram and gaskets
