I have a 98 trailblazer 250 that I'm working on. I just rebuilt the top end with a 1mm over wiesco piston, rebuilt the carb, put a new plug in and put in a new starter and bendix.

It has a bright blue spark
It has fuel (fuel on plug while trying to start)
It has 120psi of compression

It will crank all day but not start not even a sputter.

I am lost now and can't think of what else to try. Please help guys.

Well I pulled the clutch off this morning and felt some play in the crank bearing so the bearings and seal are bad.

Pulled the engine out and drop kicked it then tore it apart and waiting on new bearings and seals to come in.

just turn it over and squirt starting fluid behind clutch and she if it reacts in any way
if nothing changes it is not the seal, do same thing on recoil side pull out rope a little and squirt right in the rope hole that will check seal behind ignition
if a seal is out it will draw its air into the motor thru the bad seal instead of pulling the air thru the carb, by blowing in the vent line your are putting pressure in the bowl forcing fuel up the needle jet and into the throat of the carb acting like a primer
