I installed the Burkemoto Pro HID 6000k on my wife's 550 the other day and it's freaking awesome....but when powered up with the lows on and bright...then turning on the gauge pod light it kills power to the gauge for a second then comes back on.

Could this be the battery is dying or just the massive draw at first? Once the light is on and warmed up it is fine to turn off and then back on.

It doesn't do this on my 800.

I would imagine it's drawing too much during initial fire but HID's draw much less after they fire. Probably just taking all it can give to fire the ballasts
