Indicator flashes hot when ATV is not hot. Ride very short time and especially if radiator gets wet and Hot/overheat indicated. Fan runs sometime other times does not. Fan works as I removed and tested. Has coolant. Is there a thermostat or indicator that could be messed up? How do I check. Now fan out and turn key on w/o starting and HOT.

Will try thanks. Sensor does not visibly stand out to me will search and locate. Fan out, turn on key but not start and it reads hot. Does that agree with coolant sensor? Does computer indicate hot when fan not running to prevent failure?
