how do i remove the magnetic coil from the the frt strut ? to be replaced .

I looked into doing that as well. I ended up buying a new bottom end to the strut. It came with the magnet, a ball joint, a grease zerk and all new seals. The cost was not a whole lot more than the magnet was if I remember right.

Not too hard, buy a new coil and sleeve , you will ruin the old coil getting it off, its all siliconed on there, I just cut olkd sleeve with a cut off wheel, and die grinder, might have to use a chisel too, be careful not to damage the strut under the magnet.
