Rebuilt carb wanting to know what to set the mixture screw at? It's was at 1 1/2 when pulled. It would run up to 20 mph and flatline. As it warmed up the idle would get higher to high, turn it down to around 1200 by ear then won't idle up enough to run. Help thanks

The proper method for setting the pilot screw is precise - 1 1/2 turns from lightly seated is usually close enough to get it running to warm it up to operating temperature in preparation for the final setting procedure. If it won't idle, the carb is damaged or has not been thoroughly cleaned.
