I just bought a 2001 polaris Trail Boss 325, it runs, probably needs the carb cleaned and I know it needs a lot of maintenance.

However the squeaking coming from the suspension/steering is so LOUD, I have tired some penetrating oil in the swing arm bushings and the tie rod ends etc
Here is a video. What I want to know is how screwed am I with this, is this a 2k fix or can I get away with lubing everything and a good maintenance

I am in canada if anyone has part supplier recommendations

i would say from the video it just needs some lube in the right spots and should be ok

Some of what you need to lube has to be disassembled, cleaned, greased and reassembled. A lot of the squeaking may be from the rubber cushions or rubber spacers - the will need to be lubed with o-ring or seal grease- anything not rubber lube with waterproof marine grease.

@latebird oh really? what kind of grease do you recommend ? I am trying to find a manual, I think Haynes has one but I have to order it.

I have the Polaris manual in PDF and can email it to you - I use Pro Circuit seal grease and BelRay Waterproof Grease
