Before installing complete under quad skid plates is there anything you guys do to protect the frame other wise?

Like coat it with anything or do you just slap on the skid plates?

Thanks

That's a great question! I'd think many just put them on, but some form of DIY truck bed liner (spray or roll on) wouldn't be a bad idea!

And now that I think about it.... may not be a bad idea even without skids!

I take Fluid Film and spray a good amount on a terry cloth and wipe the whole frame with it. Then do the same for the inside/outside of the skids. Makes washing the dust/mud off really really easy and the film itself is water resistant so it likes to stay to the metal, tends to come off the paint after a few washes with the hose. Reason I do it though is the metal will wear the paint off the frame and rust will start forming. So I try to head it off with that. Something like Line-X probably would work really well too!
