Well, after shopping around (about 6 different phone calls) I accepted the fact it would cost as much to insure my quad as it would my car. No shit.

I couldn't do it. Especially with so many of you paying such a small amount every year.

Naturally every time I'm towing it, I would start to ulcerate. Watch the occasional youtube ATV Crash Spectacle and I would ulcerate.

Then I saw this one:
Let me tell ya, when I saw the remains, I got to feelin' a little queesy. :puke:

That's it, I'm done ulcerating. I contacted USAA and had them work up a quote for my house, car, and quad. Outstanding. Switched from Allstate and now I'm ulcer days are behind me.

I think I paid $264/yr through Markel......my insurance company I use for everything else wanted almost double and the deductible was double as well
I just got a policy (10/1/16) for my 2016 850 SP from Progressive with liability, comp, collision, $500 deductible, but no under/uninsured coverage for $111.00 a year in a lump sum or a little more for monthly payments. Markel's quote for the same coverage/limits was $138.00 a year. Just got my policy and cards from Progressive in the mail this last Saturday.
I have markel too. I'm paying just user 200 a year with 1000$ accessorie coverage. I'm 35 with good record except deer claims. I wasn't gonna insure it in my wife's name but it was only 12$ cheaper a year. I'm just a trail rider nothing crazy. But I worry about someone hitting me or it getting stolen from my garage it's a ways from the house. Better safe than sorry.
If you aree in texas, you will pay alot. It depends on your state, then in some cases, zip code. If you live in an area of high theft rate, than you will also pay more.
I'm paying $118 for full coverage from Allstate on my new 2016 570 Touring with $100 deductible.
Just went with Allstate on the same machine for $102/year with basic liability and no collision with same deductible. Progressive quoted twice as much with higher deductible, still will keep looking though to add collision for hopefully around same price...
I have Markel insurance. Just had to file a claim when I rolled my machine down a hill and did $3K in damage last month. They were great to work with and had it taken care of quickly. I pay about $32 a month for my insurance with a $500 deductible. Progressive was double the price for the same coverage even though I have my vehicles insured through them.
Just got insurance on the 2016 450 HO quad thru Erie Insurance for $130 full coverage no deductible. And that's with a DUI on my record from 4 year ago.
Car insurance is mandatory so choose a plan wisely. You can now save money, get discounts and find the best deal through PolicyBazaar. Compare various plans and buy hassle-free insurance with PolicyBzaar. I have saved up to 55% on your car insurance renewals, simply compared quotes from all the leading insurance companies & renew my car insurance in minutes. I found policybazaar quotes from batterybhai.com, when purchased battery for my car.
My powersports policy is $240/year through progressive.
Full coverage on the 570
Collision only on my street bike and grizzly.
645.00 1 quad up here in Vancouver BC its stupid expensive....
I purchased my policy through Progressive. Multi car and home discount brought it down to $103/year. Pretty stoked and now feel better when I drive on country roads.
Wanted to add some update rate info. Just got a policy with Markel on a new 2019 Sportsman 570eps for right around $100 a year.

Although others didn’t put this I didn’t add non insured to policy.
That's odd Allstate was crazy cheap for me. I have full coverage on a 2016 Sportsman Touring 1000 and a 2004 ATP 500. They charge me $320 a year. That includes medical for injuries in an accident.
Tried Allstate but. They where well over triple the cost of others. This and I have no tickets or accidents, riding motorcycles since I was 12, 46 now married, and near 800 credit. I guess it really depends on the area they insure and the company as well. I figured it would be $200 a year like my boat. Yet was presently surprised to find it at $100 with a good piece of mind.
Go check out www.powersportsinsure.com! They have some of the best rates out there! They specialize in all power sports insurance!
$75. Progressive. No collision. Fire /theft. All else basic coverage
I pay $184 a year for two sportsman 570's the key is there attached to my homeowners ...
I use American Family. I am 53 years old and have no tickets or accidents on my record.
Don't remember exact numbers off the time of my head on the RZR and ATV but my Harley and my Goldwing are only $125 each per year.

I think the ATV was $115 per year.
I keep full coverage on everything with $500 deductibles.

i have my machine insured with Merkel Insurance. Give them a try..
I have Progressive. Best price i could find for 2 quads a 2004 sports 700 and a 2021 Cfmoto 600 and $1700 coverage on the trailer.
Full coverage on all with $500 deductibles 50/100/25 seems reasonable with a atv at $420 a year. Markel quote was more for less.
