Last year my 2004 Trail Boss 330 began popping out of gear in forward. At first, while not under load (backing off the throttle), then pretty much at any time. Over the winter I pulled the transmission and replaced the Dog Engagement and the 19 tooth sprocket, both of which were worn. For a month this year, it worked perfectly. Last week it started jumping out of gear again--typically while backing off the throttle. A bungee cord pulling the gear lever forward seems to keep it in gear. I replaced the shift bullet, and for one short ride it made a difference, then went back to jumping out of gear. Any ideas?
Thanks.
