I have a 2007 Sportsman EFI and I bought new tires on the internet. On the front the stock are 26x8x12, but the 26" ones I bought were 26x9x12.
They look so much larger than the stock.

I was wondering if they'll fit, the tie rod and sock are very close to the current tire. and I don't want to spend the money to have them mounted if they'll rub on the tie rod/shock. I didn't think 1" would be that much of a big deal.
Should I send them back and get 25x8x12's instead?

Thanks

You could always get some 1" spacers and it should clear.

I've got 9" tires on the front of my 08 with stock wheels. You'll need 1" spacers to make them work.

Thanks for the replies, the spacers are almost what I paid for the tires. Kenda only come in 8" width in 25's. Would it be ok to have 26 in the rear and 25's in the front? If not I'll get the Carlisle's on the front. I saw on another thread stock tires are never as wide as they are stamped on the side. The stock polaris front tires are not even 7" even though they're stamped 26x8-12.

What FUSE said. AWD will not function properly if you do this. I would just exchange them for 8"
