Check this out on Amazon
Alla Lighting 3800lm 889 881 LED Fog Light Bulbs, 6000K Xenon White Xtreme Super Bright H28 886 888 894 896 898 ETI 56-SMD, (Set of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HKSLMS...abc_P4QV8V0R82G9GGYNHAR9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

These definitely made a difference.

Nilight ZH411-A 12Inch 12 Inch 300W Triple Row Flood Spot Combo 30000LM Led Off Road Lights for Trucks with 16AWG Wiring Harness Kit,2 Years Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086DN9H6...abc_RQJRM2XSR61K0GAHE4KG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This made my new bulbs, including the three bulb harness, pretty much unnecessary. Turning on the 3 LED bulbs is almost unnoticeable when that light bar is on.

Just throwing this out there. Unless your simply going for looks, your better off with a light bar. I replaced my headlights to led and while it appears brighter from the front and looks “cooler” the actual light output is worse than stock. It’s no surprise considering the stock housing is designed for halogen bulbs not led. I run 2 12” light bars so the poor light output doesn’t bother me. Not sure if the bulbs are the same on the 21s as I have an 18, but I’m using these:

JDM ASTAR Bright White Max 50W High Power 881 LED Fog Light Bulbs Amazon.com

just pull one of your bulbs and get the number off of it and look for led variants online. It’s easy, 10 second job
A lot has to do with the housing, true, but the quality of the LEDs makes a huge difference. I have a double set (Super Duties take 2 per side) of Beamtech LEDs on my truck, and they are insanely good, and over 2 years old. Flawless so far.

I put a set of 880s on my Low Beam only lights on my 22 Highlifter... both color and brightness were drastically improved.

Still ordered a 10" Rigid E-Series Spot/Flood combo light tho. Waiting on my bumpers to come in to install it. But when out in the lake in the dark.... you want all the light you can get!

My lights are underwater too much to spend any kind of serious money on them lol. The china candles have surprisingly held up so far

The Amazon Chinese LEDs I bought are noticeably better. Pic taken within minutes of each other.

Yeah mine look great from a distance and they light things up pretty close but they lost range from the stocks for sure. I guess mine are low quality even for chinas production standards

No, your experience is the typical one. While trying to figure out which bulbs to order, my search results made me aware of the issue you have. I don't recall where I read that this brand and model was better than some and also brighter. As you can see, they add a smidge of distance. I light bar is still needed, IMHO.
