I purchased a 2002 325 Magnum for my wife and noticed a problem with the lights. It had no brake light so I checked the bulb, sure enough, the filament for the brake light was broken. No problem, new bulb, right? Wrong...put a new bulb in now the brake light works, but it also comes on with the head/tail lights. I suspect the bad bulb was put in intentionally. Without pulling everything apart to troubleshoot the harness I just wondered if anyone else has had this happen just to save some time and trouble. Thanks!

The ground is good,it's clean, tried more than one good bulb. Socket is clean but does have voltage to both posts when the lights are on.The whole machine is remarkably clean for the year, practically like new. I was just wondering if there were a switch or distribution block the two may have in common that anyone has run across before. Otherwise I'll have to start pulling the body off to check the harness. Definitely something shorted somewhere.
