I am looking to purchase a 1999 Polaris Magnum 425 that I have found with 2,200 miles on it. I am just wondering if the ATV will be a good buy and what kind of problems this model is prone to. The seller is asking $600 so I dont think I can go wrong, it runs and everything works great so im told, I havnt had the chance to go look yet. It looks clean from the pics, but I am concerned that they are advertising the wrong year, from what I know I believe they went to a newer body style in 99 but this one has the old style headlight assembly where there is that grey plastic box below the handle bars. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

i forget what year that facelift happened as well. running the VIN number would find you the true model year.

as for problems. i have a 97 model, I've only had general old rubber going bad, and normal wear and tear issues. the 425 is a sturdy little engine! and the chassis is nice and tough. keep the chains well lubed and adjusted!
