It is in the classifieds, and is a 1998 250cc 2cycle engine, 4 wheel drive. Looks to be in rough shape(plastics). I was told it does not currently run, but it has compression( again, another useless statement not knowing how much)


Question Is should I pull the trigger on this machine?
I own a 1988 250 trailboss, I take it they have nothing in common part wise?
Would it help if I posted some pictures?
Was wondering if I got it for 150 or so, good deal?

NADA shows the average retail at $800. I would at least do a compression test and see if it is a compression problem. To me it would be a cheap project to tinker with. It is all a matter of do you enjoy working on an atv or do you just want to ride one. It could end up being a cheap fix and you got a steal or it could end up costing you alot more money than it is worth and it is a headache. If you are interested in pursuing this project I would try to figure out if it is a spark,fuel, or compression problem before buying.
