I just bought a 2003 magnum 330 4x4 it runs fine for a minuet then it will lose power and start backfiring if I pull out the choke it regains power but shortly after it will again cut out any ideas on what this could be and how I can fix it

Sounds like your carb needs cleaning. Either put some Seafoam in your tank and allow it to work on whatevers gummed up, or take the carb off the ATV and take it apart and clean it with some carb cleaner and compressed air.
pilot jet in carb plugged, I would give carb a good cleanin and see if it helps then if not go to the cam
