Somewhere in the last couple of days I lost a pipe knock from the transmission plate. Are these really important or can I just have one in the plate when I put it back together..

Thanks

Case alignment pins is what they look like to me, and what I would call them. Never heard the term case, knock before. You would probably be fine missing one. Only concern would be getting it to seal properly around the hole.

I'm with you Ridinagian, never heard them called a "pipe knock". I always thought they were a dowel. May not be critical but might cause a leak.

I was just calling it what the parts dealer called it, I never heard it called that either. But I did end up finding it behind a box in the shop. It must of got knocked out when I changed out the seal..

Thanks

Yeah, I looked on the Polaris microfiche and that's what they're called. I'd just never heard the term. Glad you found it. One less thing to worry about.
