Hi all, was hoping someone might know if there is an aftermarket lower steering shaft bushing , that would be better than the stock.
thanks in advance.

Hey Clay, check the diameter of your steering shaft, if it is 7/8" go here Hpd 500-600-700-800 Sportsman and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. This is a 6061T6 aluminum steering post bearing and really works great. This is what it looks like installed.

If you actually USE the grease fittings on the steering stem the stock bushings will probably last longer than the machine.

Just got the machine 2 months back, I grease all the time, last owner did not. Now trying to fix the things that should have been greased. Bushings are next .

Would either of you have a current link or name of a company where I can purchase this bearing? I know this is an old post and the link to purchase the bearing doesn't work any more.
