HI I am replacing the wheel bearing in my '94 6wheel Trail Boss. I was cleaing up the end of the strut and someone had put that blue gasket stuff on the part of the strut so I peeled it off so everything would be clean. However there was a wire under there. After looking at the parts picture of the strut I found that the wire go to something called a magnetic coil. What does this do? The wires were not attached to anything where they entered the strut. I'd appreciate any info I can get.
Thanks
Cheryl

They should attach to the hub area for the front wheel engagement. Factory used blue silicone to seal it. From there, it ran up to the coils, which should be mounted to the frame plate in front of the handle bars. Probabally need to remove plastic to see them. Your 4wd won't work without it being hooked up.
