I am trying to replace this cable but can't seem to find a tool to do this. The nut is tucked so tight into the carb you can't get a wrench on it. I have searched and searched the net for a solution or a tool but come up with nothing. Any suggestions. I tried needle nose vise grips but couldn't get a bite on it. I tried grinding down a box end wrench but that didn't work. It seems as if it needs a spark plug wrench with a slit all the way down the side so you could get it over the cable. It would need a hex end on it so you could turn it. A normal socket would not fit over this. It would need to be thin metal similar to the type of spark plug wrench you would use on a chainsaw. Thanks, pete

Usually soaking it with some penetrant and the needle nose vise grips work.
If you've cut the cable and now are able to put it into a vise , with some room to work on it, maybe it's time for a couple taps with a chisel just to jarr it loose.
