Alright guys. Having a little trouble with my magnum. It's been sitting up about three years. I replaced the stator and got it running. Still fighting some carb issues. I'm not new to Polaris, this is my third magnum and I've had an 04 sportsman, 04 ranger 6x6 and currently have a 05 500 ranger. My problem is that it is spitting some oil out of the crank case vent. It cranks good, no smoke. and has plenty of power. The oil is not over filled. the camshaft is fine.
I have a clear line on the vent and have watched it and felt the pressure. The pressure is very light and does not change as I rev the motor. In neutral I can rev it as much as I want and no oil will come out. It only comes out while in gear. This is an early magnum 95 model. My 96 magnum had a different vent system and so does my newer wheelers. So I'm wondering if this vent system was and early production problem. Any help would be appreciated.
