anyone know how to get the dowel pin out that holds the high low slides in place? im trying to clean shifter and replace o rings

just serviced mine and it was a pit of black oil and sludge. Washed everything in kero before I started to dismantle the unit. The dowl pins on mine were also stuck so I washed all the gunk from around and under the slides and pins and used compressed air to blow them loose. Watch your eyes as cleaning fluid sprays everywhere. Your mileage may vary but this worked for me.

Just needed to add this>>>.Remove the selector box from it's mounting place on the quad frame and do the work on your bench. Being able to turn the box upside down is a real bonus and will make the job easier.

thanks yea I found out that the 2 little pieces under the springs had to come out before the dowel would come out. also that you only need enough fluid to cover the slides
