Hello y'all. Got some problems with my 2004 polaris sportsman 400. It runs PERFECT. But, when the machine is cold, it starts very very hard. And when it eventually starts, the idle screw has to be turned at least 4 rotations before it will even idle. As the motor warms up, the idle gradually goes higher and higher and the idle screw must be turned back down at least 4 rotations. And after it warms up, it runs PERFECT as I said before. It will idle and run good as new. So, anyone know why this would happen? I know the carb is fine and it DOES have gas in it.:hmmm: Thanks, Matt

Sounds like your rocker clearance may need adjustment. Only thing I can think of that might me affected by heat that way.
